A very scarce 17th Century silver mounted English plug bayonet with an unusually wide etched blade. Turned wooden hilt, short silver cross-guards, the cross-guard terminals in the shape of monkeys. Complete in its original silver mounted tooled leather scabbard also mounted with a silver belt hook in the shape of a mans head. Blade length 13 inches. Overall length 19 inches in its scabbard.
