Circa 1803-1815. The lock marked with a crown over GR for George 111 King of England. (King George 111 was king of England from 1760 to 1820). A Tower mark also on the lock showing that it was manufactured at the Tower of London armoury. The pistol fitted with a swivel steel captive ramrod. British military standard brass fittings. Walnut Stock. The 9 inch barrel stamped with British proof marks. British government markings of a crown and the letters TR stamped into the woodwork next to the side-plate. Good crisp action. In extremely good condition with a few minor dings to the stock. Barrel length 9 inches. Overall length 15.5 inches. A good example of a British military flintlock pistol. Ref 2729.
