Indian 19th century. Size approx 9 inches high to tip of plume holder. The bowl approx 6 inches high. This helmet is in very good condition with almost all of its original gold and silver decoration still intact. The front of this helmet is fitted with a silver inlaid central sliding nasal bar and a plume holder to each side, the chain mail neck guard is still present. The skull is made of 16 panels, each panel is inlaid with silver and gold decoration. A very attractive and nice quality helmet in superb condition. Ref 2773.
