The brass cross-guard with embossed decoration of two Dolphin to either side. The Hilt with a fluted brass grip and pommel. A very decorative and unusual type of sword. Could possibly be either French or U.S. Confederate Navy? Good condition. No scabbard. Overall length 28 inches. Blade 22.5 inches. We have not seen this model sword before. Ref 2797.
