The side-plates engraved Lowe on one side and Chester on the other side, within a stand of arms. Engraved trigger guard. London proof mark stamped to the underside of breech. Flat sided bag shaped wooden grips with a crack to one grip. Action slightly loose (needs repairs). In well used condition showing signs of wear. This is the type of pocket sized pistol that would have been carried by a traveller or gentleman for personal protection during the 18-19th century. Overall length 7 inches. Ref 2874.
