George The Third was the King of England from 1760 to 1820 and was monarch during some of the most turbulent years in British military history, mainly due the the lengthy wars going on in the Peninsular campaigns against the French led by Napoleon Bonaparte, as well as the uprising against the British crown in the USA known as the American Revolutionary War.
