Circa 1830. (Joseph Parkhouse had a workshop in High Street, Taunton, Somerset during the period 1821-1866). Engraved PARKHOUSE TAUNTON. 5 inch .58 cal octagonal barrel. Decorative scrolling on the the lock-plate, trigger guard and the barrel tang. Nicely chequered walnut grips with silver oval escutcheon. Brass tipped wooden ramrod. Overall length 10 inches. Action in good working order. One replacement side screw and some minor wear & dings, otherwise in good condition. Pistols from Taunton are quite scarce. Ref 2900.
