C1840. 3 inch screw off barrel. Engraved scrolling to the brass side-plates. Flat sided walnut butt. British proof mark to the underside of the frame & barrel. Oblong escutcheon inlaid to the rear of the grip. Engraved trigger guard. Pistol showing some light wear and blemishes, otherwise in working order and good condition. This is the type of pocket sized pistol that would have been carried by a traveller or gentleman for personal protection along the highways and in the unlit streets of old London Town, during the mid 19th century.
