Circa 1820. The lock plate engraved with the makers name WOOLEY SARGANT & FAIRFAX. The 9 inch heavy calibre barrel struck at the breech with two British proof marks. Military style brass trigger guard, brass side-plate, butt-cap and fore-end cap. Captive iron swivel ramrod. Overall length approx 15.5 inches. Nice crisp action. In very good condition with a few minor dings and scratches to the stock. This super military pistol dates from the era just after the Napoleonic Peninsular wars and the battle of Trafalgar, and would most likely have been carried through military campaigns of the 19th century.
