A very scarce military horseman's sword with a brass hilt from the era of the American Revolutionary war. Circa 1775-1783. This sword is British manufactured and has a very curved blade. Brass knuckle bow, guard, and quillon with a typical faceted brass Adams style pommel. Still retaining its original black reeded wooden grip. The blade approx 30 inches long. Sword showing signs of wear and some use. Generally in well used condition. Nice period patina to the brass. A very good untouched authentic piece from the U.S. Revolutionary war era.
