A scarce French Military Officer's percussion Pistol manufactured at one of the French military arsenals Circa 1822-1860. Rounded military skull-crusher butt-cap, matching military style brass trigger-guard, fore-end band and side-plate secured by two screws. Complete with its correct steel ramrod. Approx .65 calibre. Overall length 14.5 inches. This is the model that was carried by French military officers during the mid 19th century and would have almost certainly have been used during the Crimean War 1853-1856, and at such confrontations with the British army as the battle of Inkermann & the Seige of Sabastopol 1854-55. Would benefit from a good careful clean, otherwise in good condition and working order. Ref 3075. This is an obsolete antique item and is sold as a collectors item only.
