Decorative engraved polished iron frame with drop-down folding trigger. Tip-up 3.5 inch barrel operated by an under lever opener. The makers name P. Berjat stamped underneath the tip up barrel. Finely shaped fluted wooden grips terminating in a steel lobed butt-cap. Overall length 7.5 inches. Some very minor wear and blemishes otherwise in good condition and in good working order. A nice example of a scarce French pin-fire pistol. Paul Berjat, place Villeboeuf 1, Saint Étienne, France, was listed as a gunmaker in 1879. Ref 3109.
