A very unusual European silver mounted three piece hunting TROUSSE, probably mid 18th century, comprising a two-pronged fork and a single edged knife with large blade maker's mark to one side, each with a silver mounted hilt embossed with what appears to be four large pineapples. The blade smiths mark appears to be I. P. or J.P. in a shield (please see photo). Complete in its original tooled leather covered scabbard embossed with a later date 1856? With a matching silver mounted iron bodkin. Blade length 4.5 inches. Good condition. Overall length 8.5 inches in scabbard. Ref 3214.
