Single edged 28 inch very strong steel blade with iron oval shaped cross guard. Shaped iron pommel with decoration to the top and pierced at the side with two holes, grip bound with wire. Complete in its metal mounted wooden scabbard, inlaid at the throat with three stones of coral and turquoise. The scabbard re-inforced with 2 plain long metal mounts. Possibly brought back to the UK after the Boxer Rebellion circa 1899-1901. Very solid construction. Blade length 28 inches. Overall length in scabbard 33 inches. The belt loop missing, otherwise in well used untouched condition. Ref 3222.
