Largest selection of genuine antique weapons for sale in UK. See our website andrewbottomley.com. Ref 3234. A rare 19th century hand made Bowie Knife with three fullers to both sides of the blade, short brass cross-guard and an inlaid bone grip. This knife shows very little signs of use or wear. The bone grip is inlaid with brass pins in primitive figures of a bird, a dagger, a tree and a moon. An excellent example of an authentic mid 19th century Bowie-knife of the type carried by Confederate soldiers during the American Civil War circa 1862-1865. Possibly American made. Good overall condition. Blade length 9.5 inches. No visible markings. Overall length 14 inches. Ref 3234.
