A rare late Medieval brass mounted Main-Gauche or left-hand dagger, probably French sixteenth century. Down-drooping cross-guards fitted with an integral side-ring counter guard and a faceted oval brass pommel. The slender rapier-like blade is double edged with a narrow central fuller. Grip still retains its original wooden structure but the wire grip wrapping is missing. In very good condition. Blade length 11.5 inches, Overall length 16 inches. Ref 3467.
