Circa 1770-1780. Engraved on top of the 3.5 inch barrels LECUT A PARIS. Stand of arms engraved on the side plates. Walnut grips, sliding top safety. Engraved trigger guards. Actions in good working order. In good condition with a few minor dings and scratches during their working life. This is the type of pistol that would have been carried by Naval officers during the late 18th century as personal protection weapons. This pair of pistols was made at exactly the right period in history to have been taken by their owner on a sea voyage across to the USA at the time of the American Revolution-1775-1783.
