Circa 1780-1810. Fitted with a spring bayonet underneath the barrel. The brass barrel at the muzzle swelling out to a size of around 1 inch. The side plate engraved "RYAN & WATSON". The gunsmiths are listed as being in business as gun-makers from 1777-1830. The other side-plate is engraved LONDON. Sliding top safety catch. Side mounted ramrod. Very good condition. An excellent example of the type of weapon carried by a gentleman or naval officer during the period of the Napoleonic wars. Very good condition. Barrel is 9 inches long. Overall length approx 14 inches, 21 inches long when bayonet is in the open position. Ref 3794.
