A fabulous cavalry sword of the Napoleonic period, this pattern sword was originally made for the tall and fierce Cuirassiers of Napoléon's Grand Armee and was the exact pattern cavalry sword carried during the battle of Waterloo in June 1815. Complete in its original steel scabbard with two hanging rings. The hilt stamped with large numers "344". The blade with various military markings and dated on the back edge "Klingenthal Marz 1817".
