A Fantastic Napoleonic era single barrelled Flintlock Duelling Pistol, made by the world famous gunsmith DURS EGG circa 1770-1800. Durs Egg had a workshop in London from circa 1748. Steel trigger guard engraved to the middle with a stand of arms. The octagonal barrel engraved with the makers name D. EGG LONDON. Two iron ramrod pipes and complete with a replaced horn tipped wooden ramrod. The lock-plate fitted with a sliding safety and engraved with the makers name. Nicely re-browned octagonal barrel approx 10 inches in length and fitted with a blade front-sight. The barrel fitted with a V rear sight at the breech. The barrel attached to the wooden stock with two cross-bolts, nicely chequered walnut grip. Approx .50 calibre. This pistol is in very good condition. Overall length approx 15 inches . Ref 8139.
