A good English Queen Anne style cannon barrelled pocket pistol converted from Flintlock. Engraved on the side with the makers name; "KING LONDON". Manufactured circa 1775-1780 and converted to percussion probably around 1840. The screw-off barrel approx 3.5 inches in length, The frame engraved with two panels and flags. The walnut butt with an embossed grotesque mask butt-cap. Action in working order.
A good example of the type of weapon carried by a gentleman for personal protection during the 18-19th century. In good used condition. Overall length approx 9.5 inches. Ref 8262.
