A scarce British Military Flintlock Officer's Pistol known as the Long Sea-Service model. Dating from the time of the Napoleonic Wars, Circa 1800-1815. Rounded typical military brass skull-crusher butt-cap, matching military brass trigger-guard, forend pipe and sideplate. Complete with wooden ramrod and long steel belt hook. The lock marked with a large crown over "GR" and "TOWER". Trigger guard engraved with C over 16.? This type of heavy calibre flintlock pistol were carried by British naval officers during the Napoleonic campaigns of the late 18th- early 19th century. These pistols were very well regarded by serving British officers of the time. Overall length 19 inches. Woodwork cracked around butt-cap, otherwise in good condition and working order. Ref 9362..
