A rare British military flintlock officer's pistol dating from the time of the Napoleonic Wars, Circa 1803-1815. The lock marked with a Crown over G.R. - Tower. The pistol fitted with a swivel steel captive ramrod and with typical British military brass fittings. Walnut Stock. The barrel engraved on top with the regimental marking 14 L D (14th Light Dragoons). The brass sideplate also engraved E L J Shean and a later date of 1855. Good crisp action. Overall length 15 inches. A rare pistol. Ref 9394.
