Ref no A very rare 18th -19th Century Indian sword Tulwar with a silver inlaid iron hilt and a very unusual Bi-Furcated and serrated 28 inch curved blade. This type is known as a Tulwar Zulfiqar. The knuckle-bow and hand guard inlaid overall with silver decoration, the silver showing signs of age and some wear. The high quality blade has several narrow fullers towards the back edge and has a serrated edge all the way to the tip. This sword could be as early as 18th century. A very unusual and rare sword with a good blade. Overall length approx 34 inches. The grip of plain steel covered with leather, the hilt finial with slight damage to the tip.
The sword is otherwise in good undamaged but well worn condition. Ref 9536.
