A very scarce cased .28 cal Colt Roots pocket 1855 model percussion revolver with accessories. Serial #18299 - Early production. Circa 1858. All matching serial numbers, The 6 inch barrel engraved on top "COLTS PT 1855. Address Col. Colt Hartford Ct. USA". The engraved cylinder scene is worn but visible. The frame and barrel retaining much of it's original blued finish and the grips retaining much original lacquer. Barrel length 3.1 inches. Complete in its correct original cloth lined wooden Colt case with powder flask and mold. The spring on the powder flask is broken. The case measures 6 x 9 inches approx. Action works well. Some scratching to the bluing on the frame, the case lid with an old crack, otherwise in good condition. Ref 9753. This is an obsolete antique item and is sold as a collectors item only.
