American M1917 Pattern Bayonet By Remington and Leather Scabbard. Bayo 118 - Bayo 118

This is an American made and issued M1917 bayonet and not a British 1913 Pattern. It is stamped on the ricasso with the Remington Logo and "1917" on one side and ordnance marks of the flaming bomb over "US" on the other together with the Eagle Acceptance/Inspectors stamp. It is carried in a standard British 1907 leather scabbard which is steel mounted and has a round frog stud and is probably a Home Guard Re-Issue in WW2. (See Skennerton's Item B289 page 236).
