This is an excellent American Pattern 1917 Bayonet, scabbard and frog for the U.S. P17 rifle. The bayonet is marked on the grey parkerised blade with 1917 and REMINGTON within a circle. The other side of the blade has the flaming grenade over U.S with an eagle over 21. The pommel and guard retain all of its original blued finish. The scabbard is the green leather version with belt hook fittings favoured by the Americans. The leather is stamped near the seam JEWEL 1918 AND G.E.B.. The scabbards blued metal fittings are stamped M S. and retain most of its original blued finish. The bayonet is in excellent condition and retains most of its original finish.
