A scarce Indian bayonet to fit the FN rifle. These bayonets were issued to Gurkha Regiments & the World bayonets website has an excellent picture of Gurkhas marching with fixed bayonets. It has a 10” long fullered blade & wood grips. The blade carries ‘RFI 68’ denoting manufacture at the Rifle Factory Ishapore in 1968. The pommel has serial number 180. The bayonet is carried in a shortened Australian 1907 pattern scabbard which is steel mounted brown leather. The leather is impressed ‘mangrovite44’ and ‘B’ below WD arrow. The throat mount is stamped ‘OA’ (Orange factory). These bayonets are usually found without scabbards. An excellent complete set. The price includes UK delivery. BAYO 287
