This is an excellent 1901 Dated, Long Lee Enfield MK 1* Rifle made at the Royal Small Arms Factory Sparkbrook. It is crisply stamped on the right side of the strap 'Enfield’ Crown VR (Victoria Regina), LE 1* (designation), Sparkbrook and dated ‘1901’. The breech has the BSA piled arms trademark and WD arrow. It has a winged blade fore sight, flip up rear peep sight, long range volley sights, ladder sight, bayonet bar, breech cover, sling swivels fitted with leather sling & magazine cut off. The wood work is all original and in excellent condition with just light bumps and bruises to be expected. The stock has a brass butt plate with trap. Deactivated to UK/EU specification in 2020 the weapon's bolt and trigger move. The removable magazine has its original single link retaining chain.
