A lovely example of a Schmidt Rubin, in its original finish as many of these rifles are - they were well taken care of!
All matching numbers from the magazine, receiver, barrel, bolt. The 12 Round magazine with its cut-off lever is particularly interesting. Original stripper clip included.
P13 marking meaning it was sold to the private market (often the man that was first issued it) it 1913.
Bore is very good with no pitting.
Walnut stock is excellent with a tight fit to the metal. No cracks, just the occasional minor handling marks.
Can be fully stripped down and dry fired. The bolt is very easy to strip and show the levels of fine machining that went into these rifles.
An early 'smokeless' era gun, in a now obsolete 7.5 x 53.5mm cartridge, designated the GP90 by the Swiss.
This is deemed by the Home Office to be 'obsolete' meaning that it can be owned as a curio and ornament in its 'live' state.
