Scottish backsword of 116th (Perthshire Highland) Regiment, Circa 1794. It has a two piece welded steel guard having a pierced design which shows Scottish thistles and regimental star to the centre, this would have originally been engraved with the regimental motto, however is now worn away. Wooden grip is still present however lack its leather, wire bound covering. Double fullered blade measuring approximately 37 inches in length.
