~ 42 Inch Short Land Pattern 1779 Barrel Flintlock Volunteers Brown Bess Musket & Bayonet ~

It has a stepped lock, is full stocked with regulation brass mounts including a solid shaped side plate and oval escutcheon engraved WH No. 95, steel ramrod, stamped with the stocker's
name in the ramrod channel ELLIOTT and comes complete with its bayonet and scabbard.

~ Dimensions ~

The overall length of the musket is 56.5 inches (143cm) and the bayonet is 19.25 inches (49cm) long. When the bayonet is fitted the set stands at 74.5 inches (189cm).

The total weight is 4.46Kg.

~ Condition ~

The musket is in excellent condition with a strong spring on the half cock and cock. Their is general pitting commensurate with age. The scabbard tip is missing. Overall, it is a superb example.
