SMITH & WESSON HAMMERLESS SAFETY REVOLVER (1890s)
Alias the "lemon squeezer" due to it's safety grip (the trigger won't pull unless the grip is squeezed). Five-shot .38 S&W calibre, 4" barrel. Stripped of its original finish and with replacement wooden grips. Old spec deactivation with clear chambers, and comes with a set of inert cartridges as well as the deactivation certificate. This is double action but the trigger return spring is broken so you need to nudge the trigger back after each dry fire. I've removed the broken spring and will include this. A gunsmith could easily fix this.
£400 optional £30 for holster (Red Head 204 DB 4, 1970s-80s)
"SPRINGHEAD" KNOCK-OFF SMITH & WESSON MODEL 3 (1870s-80s)
Probably Belgian; unknown .44 calibre (maybe .44 S&W American or .44 Russian). Very nice grips of polished horn. 6" Barrel spuriously marked "SPRINGHEAD V.K. NEW YORK" (in imitation of S&W's address in Springfield MA). Deactivated with filled chambers, working action and ejector; deactivation certificate included.
£500 optional £50 for holster (Brauer Bros H7, 1950s-60s)
UNITED STATES ARMS CO. SUICIDE SPECIAL (1870s-80s)
This is from the popular "suicide specials" genre of solid frame, spur-trigger pocket revolvers dating to the 1870s-80s. Octagonal 3" barrel, nickel finish with smooth walnut bird's head grips. It's a five-shot .38 rimfire and comes with a set of rare inert rounds. The firing pin has been neatly filed off (as an ad hoc or pre-cert deactivation), so it can dry fire without damaging the inerts.
IVER JOHNSON ECLIPSE DERRINGER (1860s)
Nickel finished spur trigger pocket pistol in .32 rimfire. "3 barrel, pivots sideways to load. Wooden grips (possibly replacement) with light ink stains on one side. Unmarked but I believe it to be a rare Iver Johnson Eclipse model (1860s), about half of which were produced unmarked (according to Flayderman's collectors guide).
MARLIN 1892 MODEL LEVER ACTION RIFLE (c. 1900)
24" round barrel with tube magazine, fore & rear sights, and a Marlin trademarked buttplate in gutta percha or hard rubber. 40" overall. 32 rimfire, obsolete calibre, covered by section 58:2.
Overall very good antique condition. The metal fixings have a light patina from age, and the original blued finish is largely worn away but still visible in darker areas. Trigger & lever are still blued from a later refinish. Walnut stock has a few minor scratches & dings, plus signs of a very neat repair (only noticeable on close inspection). Bore has been smoothed out. Lettering on the barrel & frame is slightly eroded but still readable, saying MARLIN SAFETY and MODEL 1892. The action is in good working order: it will cock, dry-fire and cycle smoothly, and would make an excellent wall-hanger or display piece.
Hunter 1100B 7 (1960s-70s). Brown leather with brass Hunter logo snap fastenings.
This is made to fit 2" snub-nosed revolvers such as the Colt Agent, Cobra& Detective Special, or the S&W Model 34. It will also hold various other small pocket revolvers & pistols (shown with the US Arms Co revolver). £40
Brauer Bros A J00 (1950s-60s). Brown leather with a basket weave pattern & brass snap fastenings with the Brauer Bros trademark. These are made for pocket automatics such as the FN 1905, Colt 1908 Vest Pocket and the Baby Browning. It will also fit various other pocket pistols, derringers & some small revolvers. I have two of these available: £40 each or £60 for the pair....Read full description
