This is an excellent original New Model No.3 top break revolver. This revolver is chambered for the UK obsolete black powder centre fire cartridge, 32- 44. It has a 6 ½” barrel which has a clean bore and crisp rifling. The weapon has a blade foresight and 'v' notch plate rear sight. The top of the barrel is stamped ' SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASSUSA PATT'D JAN 17 & 24 65 JULY 11 65, AUG 24TH 69, APR 20 75 FEB 20 & DEC18 1877 REISSUE JULY 25 1871'. The revolver retains its original blue finish and original chequered panel gutta percha grips which are undamaged & have S&W roundels. The butt has early production serial number ‘733’. The weapon's single action firing mechanism works perfectly. This is an antique obsolete calibre weapon and no licence is required to own it in the UK if retained as a part of a collection or display. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 17641:2
