The iconic British Spitfire and Hurricane aircraft played a Major role in the pivotal WW2 Battle of Britain 10th July 1940-31st October 1940. Original Spitfire & hurricane parts are very rare to find. This is a very rare WW2 Era Spitfire & Hurricane fighter aircraft rear wheel and tyre. The rubber tyre is worn but has no holes or cuts and many embossed numbers and marks including an Air Ministry ‘Crown AM’ mark (all markings illustrated in image 2). The aircraft grade alloy wheel hub has the correct bolt / axle holes and has no damage, dents or cracks. The hub is 4 ½” diameter. The tyre is 12” diameter and 4 ¼” tread width.
