This early quality example has some condition issues mainly to the blade and has been priced to fairly reflect that, also Pack being a scarce maker of SS daggers. It has all early nickel fittings, the reverse side of the lower crossguard is SS group marked I which is for Berlin.
The black ebony grip is in fine condition, there is a very faint hairline crack at the bottom but it is difficult to see and there is no further damage. The grip is complete with silver eagle and SS runic badge, this is a really decent grip.
The blade features the SS motto to the obverse side and the reverse side features the makers mark, Pack Solingen with their Siegfried trade mark of a man with a large hammer and this is a very difficult maker to find for SS daggers. The blade has some spotting / pitting at the tip of the blade and some just below the crossguard, the all important SS motto and trade mark are still good and clear. The scabbard has matching matching nickel silver mounts, it has been repainted in the past but it is not obvious and looks good. It comes with a 1930's hanger strap whose clip is in good working order.
