Create my profile now!This is a French M 1874 Grass bayonet with a T section blade which was suitable only for thrusting. The back edge of the blade carries the place of manufacture and date which is ST ETIENNE 1877. The bayonet has a brass pommel, wooden grips and a steel crossguard with a downswept quillon. The scabbard is black steel with no dents. The scabbard has in some point in its life been painted with cream painted bands which could be easily removed.
