Produced by the American Arms manufacturer Sturm Ruger the semi Automatic Ruger Mini-14 is a lightweight carbine which was favoured by U.S and British Law Enforcement agencies in the 1970's and 1980's. The weapons are still in production today. This example is chambered for the .223 Remington cartridge. This weapon was deactivated to old specification in 1990. The weapon Strips, cocks and dry fires perfectly. The carbine measures 39" overall and has a 18" barrel. The left side of the frame is stamped with the Sturm Ruger Legend and address together with number '182-49047'. The top of the breech housing behind the rear sight is stamped 'Ruger Mini-14 Cal.223'. The wood stock has no damage and is all original. It is complete with, blade foresight, aperture rear sight, steel butt plate and sling swivels.
