This is a Bramhall House reprint (1958) of the original edition of 1903 by Longmans Green and Co of London. The original is very scarce and fetches prices in the hundreds of pounds. This version was published in 1958 simultaneously by Bramhall House in America and The Holland Press of London. The book is a true facsimile of the original and was the only book to deal comprehensively with the crossbow, medieval, modern, military and sporting at that time. There is also a chapter on the ballista and catapults of the ancients together with an appendix on the catapult, bausta and the Turkish bow. This is an excellent book in a clean and undamaged dust wrapper. The price includes U.K. delivery. BO 310
