tipping and lawden Sharps' Patent Rook Rifle Single Shot .400 Rifles

    RiflesSingle ShotUsed£ 595
BARGAIN FOR QUICK SALE !! You haven't got one of these ... Very , very, rare .41 rook rifle using Christian Sharps' 1849 patent for a sliding breech rifle . Tipping and Lawden had rights to this patent and made thousands of their four barrel derringers using this slide forward design , locking with a button under the action .They made a few rifles using the patent . A very early self contained metallic cartridge rifle , using Smith and Wessons' heeled bullet rimfire cartridge . I have only been able to trace four of these , one being a relic . All were in the 200 to 300 serial number range . In as found, uncleaned condition , being complete and working well . I have only ever seen one for sale (at $3600 ) , in the States . Of interest to Sharps collectors and , I think , very good value at £795 . Thanks for looking !...Read full description
