Description

Uberti 1876 Sporting Rifle (Centennial) 28” Barrel in .45/60 Lever action.

Excellent condition, not overly used, great fun to fire. Always thoroughly cleaned and oiled after storage, absolutely no powder fouling, only used once with black powder and stripped and cleaned throughly after use. The action internals have been professionally polished in preparation for the "Cowboy Action" shooting discipline, however I never got to use it for that but it does make this the smoothest lever action I have ever used. I am only selling as I don’t used it often enough to justify keeping it.

This version currently sells for £1523.00 at Kranks. This one comes with 100 starline brass cases fired no more than twice each. New cases are available through Kranks or can easily bemade by shortening .45/70 brass. It also comes with the .45/60 LEE dies including decapping, neck crimp, powder thru and trimming.

In 1876 Winchester introduced a new lever-action rifle; they called it the Centennial Rifle in commemoration of the United States 100th anniversary. Winchesters Model 1876 was discontinued in 1898, after 63,871 guns had been produced. For 2008, 132 years after the first 1876 Rifle was produced by Winchester, Uberti introduces an exact replica of the Winchester Centennial Rifle.

True to the original, Ubertis 1876 Rifle is chambered in the hard-hitting calibers: .45-60, .45-75, .50-95 and .40-60 strong enough to take down North Americas largest big-game animals. It also comes with a 28" octagonal barrel, fully-adjustable sights, color case-hardened receiver and walnut straight stock and fore-end. Favored by the likes of Theodore Roosevelt, the 1876 Centennial Rifle was the King of its day and was immortalised by Steve Mcqueen in the movie Tom Horn. Uberti has brought this legend back to life, only better than before. Better, stronger materials and more precise machining, enables Uberti to replicate the original model to more exacting tolerances and specifications, making it stronger and more accurate with todays modern smokeless and blackpowder ammunition. When you pick up an Uberti, youre holding history in your hands!

Straight Walnut Stock, colour case hardened action. Minor mark in the wood on the forend.

100 Starline .45/60 Brass
