Upton D .17 Air Rifles

For the real bb gun geek... An Upton model D gun , circa 1920 . I cannot find another one in this configuration . The model D does exist in some numbers , but usually has a simple to make slab sided action , like cheap Daisy guns . This one has a complicated fluted action body , apparently identical to earlier "Sterling" guns . The tooling was , I gather sold on by Sterling and I guess this gun was made up on an existing fancy receiver before they ( Upton ) started full scale production of their simplified model . Like all these Sterling type guns it cocks on CLOSING the lever - the opposite of a Daisy .Working well . Rarer Upton/Sterling guns make middle hundreds of dollars in the States - I would like £85 , posted for this .. The other gun in the picture now sold .. Thanks for looking .
