An original WW2 B-6 American pilot's leather flying helmet (see page 8 of the book Flying Headgear Of The World 1934-45 by Weld)). The helmet is made of thick dark brown leather with sheepskin fleece lining. It has the correct leather chin strap with fleece padding & buckle. The Murdock Co U.S. Army Signal Corps marked ear phones are covered by leather pads incorporated into the helmet. The inside of the helmet has clean and undamaged and has a clean United States Air Force property label with B-6 model designation and 1942 codes (illustrated). The jack is numbered ‘PL-54’.
