An interesting historical piece, this dagger is made in Sheffield, as can be seen on its original leather sheet.
These were privately purchased by the aircrews and not only.
These are two articles about the piece that we encourage you to read, as they are very well documented and relevant.

Our example came from a private collection and it was acquired by the former owner many years ago.
It is one of the few examples out there, being the first of the two patterns with wooden handles known to be used in WW2.
~ Dimensions ~
The blade is 17 cm long with an overall length of the dagger of 30 cm.
~ Condition ~
The piece is in its original historical condition with signs of use on the blade, scabbard and grip.
The blade developed some pitting and the group has some minor cracks due to the fact that the wood has dried out in the last 70 years. But overall it remains sturdy.
