~ Victorian 1845 Pattern Sergeants Sword ~
Here we have a rather interesting and rare variation of the British Victorian standard officers sword that was made to be carried by other ranks in the mid 19th century.
These swords are far less common than officers swords as they belonged to the regiment not the man and were often repurposed or sold out of service.
This sword is quite interesting since its a British manufactured blade (with what I believe is a Birmingham made blade) but it has an interesting false edge not often seen on standard weapons.
A brilliant addition to any collection of British swords.
~ Condition ~
The sword is in good condition with minor wear from age, and its missing its wire wrap.
