Victorian Police Truncheon, Hand Decorated Queen’s Crown ‘VR’ & Impressed ‘C958’ (Constable Or ‘C’ Division, Officer Number 958). Sn 11129 - 11129

An original Victorian Police Truncheon. The staff is made from heavy wood, hand painted in Red and black sections and varnished. At the top of the baton it has a Queens Crown in Gold & Red. Below this is the Royal Cypher "VR" (Victoria Regina) in gold. The truncheon has a contoured grooved grip holed for wrist strap. Just above the grip the staff is impressed with letter ‘C’ (most likely Constable or ‘C’ Division Police Area designation) above ‘958’ (most likely the Collar Number of the Victorian Constable who was issued with the truncheon). The truncheon measures 18 ¾” in length. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 11129
