Vintage British Form Solid Bronze None Spark Fireman’s Axe Numbered 125 & Marked Tested To 20,000 Volts Possibly For Use in Munitions Factories During WW2. Sn 21782 - 21782

This is a vintage solid cast Bronze Fireman’s axe possibly for WW2 use in Munitions factories where risk of sparks could cause explosion. The solid Bronze axe measures 15” overall length and weighs just over 2 Kilos. Its axe head has a Crow Bill’s Spike. The spike is 3 ¼” length and the axe blade cutting edge is 2 ½” width. One side of the axe blade is stamped with ‘ No.125’ within chequered grip panel, the other side has ‘Tested 20,000 Volts’ within grip panel. There are no maker or date marks. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 21782 (storeroom shelf above bells)
