W R Pape Rook Rifle Lever Action Rifles

Beautiful little Rook rifle made by WR Pape of Collingwood Street Newcastle Upon Tyne. This rifle is in the original .297/250 caliber and therefore is classed as a Section 58 OBSOLETE caliber. This means that NO licence is required in order to purchase this gun. Made as a Martini action so is single shot. Three leaf rear sight graduated 50, 100 and 150 yards. The checkering is very crisp and the blueing is generally in good original condition. Many of these type of guns were converted into .410 so it is rare to find the original caliber ones. Stamped .297/250 on the barrel.
