A beautiful example of an 1860s pocket pistol! Made by Wheeler of London, it has a turn-off 36 Bore cannon barrel that comes off easily and fits very well. The action is very strong with no problems and the trigger is concealed until you cock the pistol and it reveals itself. There is still an original piece of leather and flint in the hammer! There are remnants of finish and the smooth walnut wood grips are amazing quality for their age. The pistol also features a hammer safety that works perfectly. Gorgeous border engraving all round, marked with "Wheeler" on one side and "London" on the other. Proof marks are on the underneath of the barrel.
