This is an original example of the very scarce ‘07 Pattern Lanchester SMG bayonet made specifically for the Admiralty under contract by Wilkinson (S294) for the Lanchester SMG which were issued to the Royal Navy. The 17 ¼” blade is correctly blackened (see pages 230 and 231 of Skennerton’ book British & Commonwealth Bayonets). The ricasso is stamped "1907 (Pattern), S294 WSC (Wilkinson Sword Company), - Click here to reveal phone number - . Its slab wood grips are undamaged and secured by the correct screw bolts. Its push button release catch at the pommel works as it should. The bayonet is complete with its original steel mounted leather scabbard and webbing frog. Price includes UK delivery. BAYO 154.
